3 Reasons to Get Amp’d
Top three reasons to get excited about Maryland’s newest music venue, AMP by Strathmore:
1. Finally, an intimate space in the DMV where the music is audible and the food is edible.
2. They promise a fresh approach to presenting talent.
3. Frédéric Yonnet performs during the opening month kickoff.
Join Frederic Yonnet this Friday, March 20 when he turns up the volume at the newest venue in the DC metropolitan area, AMP by Strathmore. The venue, which boasts offering great food and trend-setting music is a perfect fit for Yonnet’s fans and their large musical appetites.
AMP’s first live concerts hint at the sonic variety the venue will bring to Rockville Pike. A mix of polished national touring artists, and regional and local favorites will keep AMP pulsating with roiling roots rock, the spontaneity of jazz and blues, the informal banter of cabaret, soulful singer-songwriters, the easy swing of folk, experimental world music, edgy comedy, and a mix of other genres.
“AMP is simply presenting artists who are great at what they do,” said Sam Brumbaugh, Director of Programming, “whether it be bluegrass, cabaret, funk, indie, a high quality cover band, or Afro-Peruvian jazz.”
