Dave Chappelle Makes an NPR “Tiny Desk Concert” Cameo: Watch

The comedian introduced French musician Frédéric Yonnet on a new installment of NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series, French musician Frédéric Yonnet performed. Best known for his harmonica skills, Yonnet was introduced by longtime friend Dave Chappelle. The comedian told a story about the time he and Yonnet met Stevie Wonder backstage at the 2006 Grammy Awards. “The next thing I know, Fred and Steve was on tour,” he said. Watch it happen below.

Along with Stevie Wonder, Frédéric Yonnet performed live with Prince, Erykah Badu, John Legend, and many others. His last album was 2010’s Reed My Lips. Earlier this year, Chappelle won the Grammy for Best Comedy Album. He’s set to star alongside Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the film A Star is Born.
