Yonnet Kicks off DC Jazz Fest “Jazz At the Capitol Riverfront” Weekend
Frédéric Yonnet kicks off the 2014 DC Jazz Festival’s Jazz At The Capitol Riverfront weekend with a free concert on The Yards, the beautiful, urban green, innovative Yards Park overlooking the Anacostia River. The 3-day event at the Yards runs from June 27-29 and features Yasiin Bey (AKA Mos Def), Gregory Porter, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave, The Rebirth Brass Band and Irma Thomas. Vocalist Akua Allrich will open the Friday night show headlined by Yonnet with special guest vocalist Maimouna Youssef.
